Natural-Colored Fillings

Reasons for fillings include:

• Chipped or cracked teeth
• Closing space between two teeth
• Decayed teeth
• Worn teeth

Composite fillings are used to repair teeth that are affected by decay or cracks. The affected portion of each tooth is removed and then filled with a composite filling.

Natural-colored composite fillings can be closely matched to the color of your existing teeth, and are more aesthetically suited for use than traditional silver amalgam fillings.

Fillings, as with most dental restorations, are not permanent and may someday have to be replaced. They are very durable and will last many years keeping your teeth looking healthy and naturally beautiful.

Metal-Free Crowns

Reasons for crowns include:

• Broken or decayed teeth
• Large or fractured fillings
• Tooth has root canal
• Cosmetic enhancement

Crowns protect and encase the entire tooth surface restoring the tooth to its original shape and size. Porcelain, natural-colored crowns can be closely matched to the color of your existing teeth, and are more aesthetically suited for use than traditional metal crowns.

Bridges & Dentures

Dental bridges are non-removable appliances used to replace missing teeth. Bridges, as with most dental restorations, may someday have to be replaced or re-cemented. They are very durable and will last many years keeping your smile looking healthy and beautiful.

Dentures are removable dental appliances used to replace missing teeth. They are made to closely resemble your natural teeth and fill in the space of missing teeth or if necessary can replace all the teeth. Dentures, as with most dental appliances, may someday have to be remade, repaired or readjusted. They are very durable and will last many years keeping your smile looking healthy and beautiful.

Root Canal Therapy

Reasons for a root canal include:

• Decay reaches the tissue inside the tooth
• Infection develops inside the tooth or at root tip

Root canal therapy is needed when the nerve of a tooth is affected by decay. During root canal therapy, damaged tissue from inside the tooth is removed, eliminating infection and discomfort.

Modern root canals are often completed in one visit and save teeth that might otherwise need to be extracted. Endodontic therapy usually involves little or no pain. In fact, the pain that caused you to need a root canal is relieved by therapy.

Root canal therapy can be highly successful and usually lasts a lifetime, although on occasion, a tooth will have to be retreated due to new infections.
